1st Ed. 287pp. Port. frontis., 6 plates. Lightly marked maroon cloth, creased d/w. chipped with loss.
With a TLS on headed notepaper from Bottomley to Sir James Agg-Gardner ‘Sir James Agg-Gardner, House of Commons, S.W.1., My dear Agg-Gardiner, I have read the memorandum which you have been good enough to send me, and, strange to say, several of the suggestions had already occurred to me, especially that of making the Members’ Smoking-room (as it used to be) the Strangers’ Dining-room. Is it proposed that if these recommendations are adopted, the work should be put in hand during the recess? If not, I should like to consider further points. May I take it that they owe their origin to you personally? Yours sincerely Horatio Bottomley.’
