1st Ed. Sm. Slim 4to. 59pp. + [v]. Frontis., 25 b/w. plates. browned, lightly spotted, some very light marginal browning, title page sl. spotted, lightly soiled beige cloth, sm. water spot to top edge of upper board, sl. rubbed and chipped gilt lettered leather title label to spine. No. 112 of an unspecified Limited Edition. Solon worked at the Sčvres manufactury before moving to England to work at Minton where he further developed his pâte-sur-pâte technique. He was an authority on Ceramic Art with several major works to his credit, including a critical bibliography of pottery and porcelain.
