G & M 22. ‘ Aretæus left many fine descriptions of disease; in fact Garrison ranks him second only to Hippocrates in this respect. He was a follower of the “Pneumatic School”. His works were first printed in 1522 (Venice), with the writings of Rufus of Ephesus ...’
