Hunter to head of t.p., some staining due to damp mainly marginal, contemporary tree calf boards, minor scuffing and signs of wear, rebacked with much of original gilt dec. spine laid down and with gilt lettered label. ESTC N22222 ‘With a half-title and a final advertisement leaf. "Advertisement to the second edition" (p.[v]) post-dated January 1800. May have been issued in 1800.’ Richard Warner (1763–1857), Antiquary. A protégé of William Gilpin, serving as his Curate at Boldre, Hampshire. ‘...
