Some browning, period style rebind in modern calf, intricate blind tooling to edges of boards, minor marking, blind rule edged raised bands with gilt lettered title label to spine. ESTC S116627. An expanded edition of "Ten Sermons". "Three sermons, ad magistratum" has separate title page with imprint "London, printed by Richard Badger for Robert Dawlman, and Luke Faulne, and are to be sold at their shop .. 1636". "Three sermons, ad populum" and "Three sermons preached at St. Pauls London" each have separate title page with imprint "London, printed by R.B. for Robert Dawlman, and Luke Fawne .. 1637". Pagination and register are continuous throughout. The additional sermons are reprinted from "Two sermons: the former, concerning the right use of Christian liberty .. The later, concerning the perswasion of conscience". Variant 1: with the title page and conjugate blank from STC 21710.3 inserted after 2O. The imprint reads "London, printed by R.B. for R. Dawlman and L. Fawne .. 1636". Variant 2: [as in our copy] this title page dated 1637. Signatures: A4 B-2M8 2N4 2O 2P4 2Q-2X8 2Y (K4 signed K7). P. 556 misnumbered 544. The last leaf is blank.
