Some light browning, contemporary double rule edged calf boards, minor wear to corners, minor marking, rebacked with much of original spines laid down, blind tooling and gilt motifs with modern gilt lettered title labels to spines. At head of title: Torah neviim u-khetuvim (Romanized). The text with cantillation and pronunciation symbols, text in Hebrew; title page and preface in Latin. A reprint of the Everardus van der Hooght (1642-1716) text. The final leaves contain a Lexicon and other indexes by Frey. Joseph Samuel Christian Frederick Frey (born Joseph Levi; 17711850) missionary to Jews. In 1809 he founded the London Society for promoting Christianity amongst the Jews after disagreements with the London Missionary Society
