Grant-Davidson British Ceramic Library with sm. label, contemporary ownership inscription to both front f.e.ps., related clipping tipped in, original gilt lettered blue cloth with sm. gilt armorial device to upper boards, some minor soiling and rubbing, spines lightly browned and rubbed with sl. wear at head and tail, t.e.g. The collection is strongest in English lead-glazed wares, stonewares and delft wares of the pre-industrial age, but the continental section comprises fine examples of Spanish and Italian maiolica, French and German fa´ence, delft, German stoneware and peasant pottery from Switzerland and other parts of Central Europe.
