Scarce ‘consisting mainly of hitherto unknown or unexplained examples of great artistic merit and historical interest.’ Chiefly by Italian and German masters, including Mantenga, Raphael, Lippi, Titian, Ghirlandaio, Dürer, Holbein, Zelotti, Correggio, Carpaccio, Leonardo, etc. Also issued in a Limited Edition of 80 printed on Japanese vellum. Arthur Sandford Strong (1863–1904), orientalist and art historian. ODNB ‘...
