Ex.-libris Simon Heneage, secured with string through two punch holes to head, first plate lightly foxed, with original wrapps. ills. by Byam Shaw, detached and ragged with marginal loss. Unrecorded. Rex Vicat Cole ‘The Art & Life of Byam Shaw London 1932’. pp.225. Cole lists 10 pen and ink drawings on cards (15” x 12 1/8”) but does not mention a collected edition of the drawings. Cole lists (1) “The New Art! poor Beauty.” (2) “Another’s Little Sin.” (3) “Our Son’s Heart and the Little Fool.” (4) “Recreation, Rest, Romance, Pay.” (5) “The Only Son.” (6) “Yet Mary never married” (7) “The Captive.” (8) “When Venus Blushed” (9) “Mr and Mrs Fashion.” (10) “I wonder if”. In addition our collection has two further drawings “Art 1912” and “Venus and Mars”.
