Herbarium, lower joint reinforced, upper joint tender, original cloth, neatly rebacked with original spine laid down, signs of wear, chipped title label to spine. Volume II. Rosaceĉ--Rubiaceĉ. Volume II, was never published. The sheets were being printed in Jamaica in 1850, and on the author's death were destroyed: only a few copies sent to correspondents are extant. ‘James MacFadyen (1800-1850) MD Glasgow 1821-22, Island Botanist Jamaica.
