Vols. 25-28 with original wrappered parts loosely inserted in cloth cases, some light browning, some vols. with institutional bookplates and occasional ink stamps, and most vols. with accession nos. to tails of spines, contemporary gilt lettered cloth, some spines sl. chipped, generally in good order. The objects of the Society of Glass Technology are to encourage and advance the study of the history, art, science, design, manufacture, after treatment, distribution and end use of glass of any and every kind. Published between 1917 and 1959, there were four or six issues per year depending on economic circumstances of the Society and the country. Each issue contains Proceedings, Transactions, Abstracts, News and Reviews, and Advertisements, all these sections were numbered separately. The bound volumes collected these pages into separate sections, dropping the adverts. There is a list of Council members and Officers of the Society and earlier volumes also had lists of personal and company members.
